You will like your Elite. For some, it is their favorite...I can't pick which Canik is my favorite...it's like choosing your favorite wife...uh, I mean, child.

Welcome to the club Sloman..... you will like the Elite. It is a fine shooter.

I can give you a BIG TIP on the Elite..... when you remove the slide..... it should move forward only about an inch or less- then lift straight up.
I know this guy (no name to mention) who thought the slide was supposed to be pulled off all the way to the muzzle end. That method does not work.

I have the elite as well, and absolutely love it. It is a fantastic gun for the price point. Good luck with yours, I hope you enjoy shooting it.

Howdy and Welcome to the Canik forum!!!
Mine needed about 200 rounds of NATO spec ammo to break in, after that it shot everything I fed it.
It had a strong RSA.

Welcome and congrats on the Elite. I have two of them and they are the most accurate firearms I've ever owned.

That's what I needed to hear! Thanks so much! How does it compare to the glock 19 in accuracy, ease of use and dependability?

For my hands, the Elite indexes better, points better and has a better trigger. Your group size is your fault, the Elite will do it's job. Ease of use? Point, click, bang.

I mean..... My group size is my fault.

My Elite never stopped, but I did have some weak ejection patterns for the first 100 rounds or so. After lots off dry fire, manual cycling and almost 1000 rounds, she'll run on anything without an issue and has been my EDC for 8 months.
